How much longer?

That seemed to be the most liked question today by the girls. "How much longer until we get to the Butterfly Pavilion?" and after we got there "How much longer until you are done with my photos?" I can never win.

Yes I actually attempted at taking my own photos today with three young girls in tow, a stroller weighed down by clothing and shoes and a big ole camera, not my cup of tea exactly. The butterflies were a bonus. It was a chilling 30 something degrees outside and in the pavilion it is like vacation :).
Thought I would share a couple of my favorites from today. I even have matching headbands that are "mom approved" these babies stay in their hair and look so darn cute! I am hoping to have the store ready to go next week!

Let's talk about the weather

The weather is always a good thing to talk about when you have nothing else to talk about...that is not the case for me. I am so busy I think my head is spinning and I need to take a breather and get it all down on paper. As for the weather here....it really stinks. We got hit with our only blizzard this season last Thursday with a whopping 16" and then of course 68 degree weather on Sunday to melt it a bit and then a surprise of more snow today, thrilling to say the least.

I have so many ideas right now that I think I need to focus and decide what pieces I think will be best for Summer. I am about half done and I do have a couple women's items as well. Fabric combinations are endless and I just love these bright fabrics, but at some point I have to stop myself and move ahead.

Speaking of moving ahead, with the lead time I would need to have to have a "shoppable" store of mostly ready to ship items, I would be delayed at least one more month. I will be resorting back to my current ways of doing business. Taking orders and completing them in the order they were placed. There is one thing I am changing and that is "customized requests" such as changes made to the inseam, waist or chest. If you can imagine having over 150 orders and trying to remember what person wanted what inseam or waist etc...it leaves a lot of room for mistakes. So I will still offer my standard sizing in single sizes from 12 mos - 8 and I will have all of the measurements laid out for easy ordering.

I only have a couple more orders from Spring left and then I am a "free" women lol and looking forward to this new venture that my Summer line brings. Thanks for all the support ladies!

Is it Summer yet?

I am down to my last few orders and loving this new fabric for summer! I have several bolts of it staring at me and calling my name.

I sent off a couple sets to a friend of mine to have photos taken and wow! My friend Holly does amazing photos and her daughter Peyton is just the cutest!

I have so many ideas and concepts spinning in my head that sometimes I need to take a step back. Less is sometimes more right?
I am also in the process of creating my own design to put on a tank for us women! I bet you did not know that I could draw too? I am pretty artsy and used to be able to draw really well. Hope to finalize that within the week and be able to share!

Love

I am in love with all of my new fabrics that came in early this week for "Breeze". I actually feel like I am on vacation in some warm place on the beach just by looking at them. This is a good thing, especially since Mother Nature will be blessing us here in Colorado with a potential blizzard tonight...joy. I hope the weatherman is wrong, I promise I won't judge.

You should see my sewing room, two words define me and my sewing room now - mass hysteria. I really do know what all of my piles mean and what is what but seriously I would die right now if someone saw it! My formal dining room has also become my "packing and shipping department". I either need more space or less sewing.

As for Spring, I am down to the last 14 pieces besides a few orders for the popular Paris dress I just took on...thanks to my Serger. Yeah poor thing quit on me so I think it was time for a new one.

I am also a sharing a couple more sneeks at the summer line. I honestly cannot give a date at the moment. I am in the process of making a few pieces here and there in between my other orders and doing laundry - lord my laundry! I despise laundry. It has to be my least favorite household chore, ask anyone who knows me and they will agree.

I originally had planned on having all ready to ship pieces in the shop ready to go, but there is only one of me so it would be a daily update of 2-6 pieces in whatever sizes I happen to make and I am not sure if this makes any sense? I will figure it out.

Well I guess if in fact it does snow the 14++ inches they predict, then I will have a good excuse to lock myself in and get some work done :)

Just a little peak ...

We are in the final process of finishing up Spring orders - only 25 more pieces to go! What a feeling it will be to get those done and in the mail in the next 2 weeks - just in time for Easter :)

Who says Mondays are bad.....Freebies!!

I used a random number generator to pick the winners for our Summer preview line "Breeze" and post #9 and 22 are the winners! So if your ID is dennimd or little-miss-e then you need to email me please at lovesmenot@comcast.net so we can get sizing etc.

Fabric is ordered and seems like it is taking forever for it to get here, but it is not like we don't have plenty of more Spring items to finish up on in the meantime! I have posted a little preview of just some of the colors we will have and be sure to expect some knits too!
I do have a few samples made up from my previous fabric order and I have a favorite so far and I hope to post a sneak peek tomorrow! We will even be carrying a women's flirty skirt too this collection! I love cute skirts with my favorite "blinged" up flip flops and a fresh tank in the summer.

Also send me an email if you would like to be added to our VIP mailing list. We only mail out to make special announcements on when our web site will have restocks, new items or sales.

Have a great St. Patrick's Day and be sure to wear green!

Manic Monday

Today has been super crazy for me and I promise I will post the winners later so be sure to check back :)

Saving Time

So this weekend we had daylight savings and lost a whole hour. I always love having longer days and more sunshine in the evenings, but it is so hard to wake up and get motivated when it is still dark out! I guess you can't win them all!

Speaking of winning :) - We are going to have a giveaway! I love contests and giving away some goodies! We are still in the process of finishing up our Spring orders and hope to have them completely done in the next few weeks or less. Just leave us a comment and we will randomly pick a post to win, please no back to back posting to make it fair and feel free to enter as many times as you want to! We will pick a couple pieces that are going to be a part of our Summer line - you get to see them before you can buy them! Winners will be picked one week from today.

I have also added a simply dreamy beach photo for those of you - like me - that are sufering from the Winter blahs. I am such a beach girl at heart and would just love to escape to a beach like this!

Our new Summer line "Breeze" will be available first of April. Everything will be ready to ship and we will add new items every couple of days as we finish them up. We will also add some of the more popular items from Spring up as ready to ship also in case you missed out. The new items will feature bright floral prints with a little bit of funk that are perfect for summer!

I am going to leave you with this sweet photo of sisters - aren't sisters just the best! They look so sweet in their matching Paris dresses and leggings!

Cuties

We always love to see our little shoppers wearing our pieces that we have put so much effort and love into! Aren't they just the sweetest?
On another note, I know that lots of you are still asking for the Meet me in Paris dress and the matching ruffle knit pants. As much as I would love to add more to the shop, I feel like I need to get the majority of my current orders done first before I take any more on. Then I will have a feel for how much fabric I have left and a better idea of a timeline. Feel free to email us or leave a comment with your info if you are interested, it will be much easier to track you down :).

I will also be adding some sample pieces, and more skirts - all ready to ship! I have had the skirts about 1/2 done for a couple months now and I think I better get a move on or it will be Fall again!

B is for Busy

We have been so busy working on our orders that our poor blog got a bit neglected. Though I am sure you would be fine with the fact that we are sewing and not blogging :).

First, forgive me for any typos I miss here as I type with my injured left hand. I got a little carried away with my new scissors - which are so darn sharp - they cut like a knife. So typing is a challenge and sewing. I am right handed but never knew how much I used my left hand!

Thanks to all of you for making our Spring collection "French Market" such a success! We are so grateful! If you have a photo of your little shopper in her LMN goodies - send us an email to lovesmenot@comcast.net - and we will post it here!

As for restocks of our Spring items? Once we get through all of our sold orders, we may be adding some ready to ship pieces to the shop in the same fabrics.

Change . We are going to be changing the way we do business a bit. We plan on doing a Summer collection and will have that up for sale sometime at the beginning of April. However, to make things easier on us and you, everything in the shop will be ready to ship in sizes 12 mos - 8. No waiting times now other than shipping. We will no longer be taking custom orders. What you see is what you get. We will see how it goes and take it from there. Should be a little bit less stressful for both parties.

Off to sew!
